The Academy will present Agility Demos and a hands-on mini-instruction at this 4-day event that takes place on October 13, 14, 15 and 16, 2011. We have a 20'X20' tent for our information and videos of the Swimming Paws Canine Swim Club and a 100' X 100' fenced area with Bleacher seating for the Agility Demos! Special Training for Deaf Boxers
Unique Training for Cute Boxer Puppies
John and Maria Harrington called with a request to aid them in the basic obedience of their new boxer puppies. That in itself was not too surprising, but the puppies were. Kayla and Seamus turned out to be two beautiful white boxer puppies.

The Swimming Paws Canine Swim Club is getting many breeds into the water, helping the dogs with cardiovascular conditioning and even conditioning their coat and skin.

Agility Classes: From the Beginning to Competition-Level

FUNDAMENTALS AGILITY
The foundation class will help to better your dogs drive and motivation and provide the necessary body awareness skills to be able to compete successfully in agility. This is an 4 week course, limited to 5 teams. COST: $75.00
Must bring tug toy, treats, CLEAR plastic top (like a Pringles lid).
MUST HAVE COMPLETED A BASIC OBEDIENCE CLASS to sign up for Fundamentals Agility
PRE-BEGINNERS AGILITY
Introduction to the sport. Start building basic skills and communication between dog and handler. This is an 8 week course COST: $125.00
BASIC AGILITY
Focus on learning obstacles, jumps, tunnels, weave poles, etc. Beginners Obedience skills required. This is an 8 week course COST: $125.00
BEGINNERS AGILITY
Some off lead work. Obstacles progressing to full height. This is an 8 week course COST: $125.00
INTERMEDIATE AGILITY
Mostly off lead. Full height obstacles. Small courses run to teach handling skills. This is an 8 week course COST: $125.00
ADVANCED AGILITY
All off lead. Full courses run to teach handling skills. This is an 8 week course COST: $125.00
COMPETITION AGILITY
For all dogs running in novice, open, and excellent. Advanced skills and course speed emphasized. This is an 8 week course COST: $125.00
