-
GROUP LESSONS—small classes of generally 12 students or less
-
PRIVATE LESSONS - affordable one on one training
-
FAMILY PRIVATE LESSONS—For all family members, who actively interact
with the dog. Our goal is to get all individuals using the same commands so
as not to confuse the dog. Also, it helps kids and dogs to respect each
other.
-
SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS—2 to 6 teams of about the same skill level. Form
your own small classes.
-
Puppy Head Start — For dogs 12 weeks to
6 months. The five (5) most common puppy problems are addressed and are
eliminated: House soiling, Chewing, Jumping on people, Barking, Not coming
when called. This is an 8 week course first class no dog.
-
Obedience — Beginners through Advanced
-
BEGINNER - Beginner classes are for dogs six months or older who have
never been to an obedience class. Problem solving, basic commands (sit,
stay, come, heel).
-
ADVANCED BEGINNER - This class is for dogs who have completed a Beginner
class. Beginner skills are polished and refined under progressively more
challenging circumstances. Dogs are worked at greater distances and off-lead
work is introduced. The primary focus remains one of pet control. This
is a 4-week course and is the basis for all competition sports.
-
Rally Obedience — Rally is a sport in which the dog and handler complete a course that has
been designed by the rally judge. The judge tells the handler to begin, and
the dog and handler proceed at their own pace through a course of designated
stations (10 - 20, depending on the level). Each of these stations has a
sign providing instructions regarding the next skill that is to be
performed. Scoring is not as rigorous as traditional obedience.
-
Agility — Beginners through Advanced
-
An introductory class which will prepare the handler and dog for Novice
Jumpers and Weaves competition. Teams will become familiar with the
obstacles (bar jump, tunnels, weave poles, broad jump, etc.) and be taught
the necessary skills (handling dog on right or left, pushing dog forward to
obstacles). Dogs will be working off lead a majority of the time so handler
must have voice control over his/her dog. A flat buckle collar and treats or
toys to motivate the dog are required supplies.
-
When weather permits, Agility Classes will be held outdoors.
-
Show Handling — From puppy socialization to advanced ring management
-
Ring preparation course for handlers and dogs based on their individual
experience. Practice various aspects of stacking, baiting, expression,
examinations, ring etiquette, gait training, the basic fundamentals of
showing, and floor pattern run-throughs.
-
CLASS LIMITED TO 12 AT A COST OF $64.00 FOR 8 WEEKS, or $10.00 per night.
-
Seminars on Dog Related Topics are also planned
