Freestyle Dancing Seminar With Barbara Walls
April 3, 2010 from 9 AM to 4 PM
Barbara has had dogs all her life and has been training formally in Obedience
for the last 10 years and has been training in Canine Freestyle for the last 4.
She is an instructor with The Salisbury Maryland Kennel Club for the last 4
years and teaches Obedience, Rally and Canine Freestyle. Her dogs hold titles in
Obedience, Rally, Agility, Conformation and Canine Freestyle. Barbara has been
competing in MDSA (Musical Dog Sport Association) for the last 2 years with 3
dogs and has hosted one live event at the Salisbury Maryland Kennel Club. She
trains with positive reinforcement and some clicker training.

Obedience
BEGINNERS OBEDIENCE: For dogs 6 months of age and older. Basic obedience, sit & stay, come when called, etc. This is an 8 week course (no dogs for first class session) COST: $100.00
GATEWAY: Prerequisite for this class is Beginners Obedience. Attention/Focus, Refined Healing, Working Closely with other dogs and handlers, Working through distractions, & Versatility Skills are taught. This is the basic for all competition sports and prerequisite for Rally Obedience, Advanced Obedience, and Agility classes. Fun & challenging to help refine basic skills, improve concentration, and build team relationships to add reliability to normal daily situations and helps prepare for future specialized training. This 4 week course Cost: $50.00
ADVANCED OBEDIENCE: Prerequisite for this class is Puppy Head Start/Beginners
Obedience and Gateway. This course provides advanced training for your family
pet/AKC obedience trial competitor. AKC Novice (CD) and Open (CDX) skills and
requirements are taught using both individual and group training methods. Course
content includes AKC rules and regulations, Team work (handler/dog), Heeling,
Stand for examination, Recalls, Dumbbell retrieves, Jumping, Sit/down group
exercises. This course is offered in 8 week segments, but because all dogs
learn at different speeds, the segments are tied together to keep dog/handler
teams focused on specific goals. COST: $125.00
COMPETITION OBEDIENCE: Polishes skills for AKC novice, open, & utility. This is an 8 week course COST: $125..00
