TREIBBALL SEMINAR “LET’S HERD BALLS”
SATURDAY OR SUNDAY - March 17 or March 18, 2012
PRESENTED BY - PAT MILLER, CPDT, CDBC
Treibball is a competitive dog sport that is based on sheep herding. The “sheep” are balls that the dog is taught to push/herd into a pen. The handler will direct the dog off leash using 8 balls (sheep), with obedience and herding signals. All balls must be in the pen in 15 minutes and then the dog lies down at the entrance to the pen to keep the balls/sheep in. Click here to learn more about this exciting seminar!

Special Training for Deaf Boxers
Unique Training for Cute Boxer Puppies
John and Maria Harrington called with a request to aid them in the basic obedience of their new boxer puppies. That in itself was not too surprising, but the puppies were. Kayla and Seamus turned out to be two beautiful white boxer puppies.

Our Video Services
We now provide Video Services, as a great training tool, as we can video record your training session, run-thru, or event in HD quality, for review and pride.
Videos can be saved in two different formats:
- Onto a SDHC Card (Secure Digital High-Capacity) which most laptops/computers can read directly. You can also view the videos on recent HDTVs or Blu-Ray players that accept SD Cards.
-
Uploaded
to YouTube. We can upload the videos onto our YouTube
site, and then email you the link to the videos. This allows you
to send the links to friends, family, instructors and others so they can
enjoy all the excitement. You can view these videos from ANY
computer or tablet (iPad) or smartphone that has internet access.
Why should I have my run-thru/class/lesson video recorded?
The first reason is to see EXACTLY what you and your dog are doing, from a 3rd person perspective. You can enjoy the excitement and thrill of seeing all the action, as well as show it to friends and family. As a training aid, you can review the video with your instructor, and also see if you are implementing the rules that will help you and your dog reach your goals.
What will happen?
Once you have purchased an Academy Video Services, we will get detailed information from you on which event, time and desired focus. With that detailed information, you will sign a statement giving us permission to video record you and your dog, onto your SDHC Card or upload to YouTube. At the event, we will record your run-thru/class/event, then either
- save the video onto your SDHC Card, which you should bring to each event. You can then immediately view the video on your computer or the Academy HDTV if available, or
- save your video on our system, then upload the video to YouTube. We will email you the link to that video within 24 hours (but hopefully soon after the event).
The videos will NOT be edited.
How much does it cost?
You need to sign up for Academy Video Services, which costs $30.00. This includes either a 4 GB SDHC Card or setup on YouTube, and your first recording (run-thru). Each subsequent recording will cost $15.00 per run-thrus. Additional fees may be incurred for longer recording sessions and must be discussed before the recording session.
